On January 7th, the first flat inclined intelligent parking garage project in China was delivered and put into use at the China Smart Valley Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Center in Nan’an District, Chongqing. The reporter saw on site that the car owner only needs to drive the car onto the intelligent parking rack, and the parking rack will automatically tilt and park in the parking space, taking only about 1 minute for the whole process.
Driver’s Gospel: You can park the entire journey without reversing
On the noon of January 7th, the reporter saw four rows of inclined parking spaces arranged neatly in the parking garage. A silver gray sedan entered the underground parking garage of China Zhigu Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Center. After picking up the card at the gate, the voice will prompt to go to the corresponding parking rack. At the same time as the vehicle enters the garage, the parking rack also moves from the parking space to the aisle, waiting for the car to enter. After the car slowly came to a stop on the parking rack, the driver got off the car and swiped his card behind the rack to confirm the parking. Then he could “walk away”, and the frame began to tilt automatically and move back to the parking space.
The parking process only takes about a minute, and the driver does not need to reverse the entire process. “According to Yang Zizhong, the project leader and general manager of Chongqing Shengjie High tech Co., Ltd., when the car owner needs to pick up the car, they swipe their card to confirm the pickup, wait until the frame is removed from the vehicle, insert the card, and leave the parking lot without reversing the entire process.
Save parking space by converting 24 parking spaces into 40
According to the person in charge of China Zhigu Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Center, since its establishment, with the increase of settled enterprises, parking spaces have become increasingly scarce. In order to improve the efficiency of parking lot usage and save space, the construction of a flat inclined intelligent parking garage demonstration project began in September last year, implemented by Chongqing Shengjie High tech Co., Ltd.
After more than four months of research and production, the flat inclined intelligent parking garage was officially delivered for use on January 7th. Before the renovation, there were only 24 parking spaces here. By adopting a flat inclined parking method, there are now 40 parking spaces, greatly improving the utilization rate of the garage and saving parking space. Yang Zizhong said that currently the parking lot can only accommodate cars, but in the future, the spacing between parking spaces can be adjusted according to actual site needs for off-road vehicles.
It is understood that a traditional parking space requires a length of about 6.2 meters, while a slanted parking space only requires 3.3 meters. Compared to mechanical double decker parking lots, which require a minimum height of 3.6 meters, inclined parking spaces only require 2.8 meters. Yang Zizhong said that inclined parking lots have great advantages in improving the parking difficulties in many old residential areas.
Intelligent parking management provides efficient use of parking lots
According to Yang Zizhong, the flat inclined parking garage system delivered this time is all independently developed by the company, and has obtained 19 patented technologies so far. Taking its core product, the planar inclined intelligent parking rack, as an example, it is equipped with 12 proximity switches (sensors) and 8 ranging radars, which can achieve functions such as automatic parking and obstacle avoidance.
The parking rack is composed of a frame system, hydraulic system, automated intelligent control system, safety assistance system, garage intelligent management system, and APP system integrated Yang Zizhong said that parking racks can solve the problem of adding new parking spaces to existing garages on the basis of intelligent parking. At the same time, it can also be integrated with charging stations to meet the needs of new energy vehicles and save the cost of building separate charging stations.
This delivery is the first of its kind in the country, and currently, companies from Beijing, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and other places are interested in this project. After further investigation, cooperation is expected to be reached. Yang Zizhong said that the next step will be to introduce AGV intelligent parking robots, where drivers only need to park their vehicles on the entrance and exit exchange platform to leave, achieving the unmanned operation of the entire parking lot.
